October 8, 2026, stable license requests

Changed

• Companion pins the Polar API contract for license activation, validation and deactivation. Quarterly releases therefore do not automatically change these requests.
• Power, CLI and Skills are unchanged.

October 3, 2026, updates through Honeycup

Changed

• Companion and Power receive future signed updates through www.honeycup.ai.
• Existing installations receive this release through their previous update channel. After the update, they use Honeycup.
• Existing licenses and plugin folders remain compatible. CLI and Skills are unchanged.

October 2, 2026, Doctor correction

Fixed

• honeycup doctor recognizes the current Honeycup tool names correctly. Legacy wp-agent/* identifiers remain compatible.
• Invalid and duplicate tool names are rejected.

September 30, 2026, corrective release

• Companion loads the branded submenu assets through the WordPress menu hook that is actually registered.
• The shipped quickstarts and setup guidance point to the current Honeycup customer portal. Existing technical update identifiers remain compatible.

September 9, 2026, first commercial Honeycup release

Released

• The first commercial Honeycup package set became available for downloads and updates.
• The website, WordPress admin interface, CLI and Skills use the Honeycup branding with its bee icon and yellow and black design. Existing technical installation identifiers and signed update channels remain compatible.

• The extracted Skills package now includes the German and English quickstart guides with usable links.

• If post-save verification of a direct media upload cannot be completed, the created attachment is preserved and the software reports a recovery case for manual inspection.
• The CLI checks titles, content, image details, and explicitly supplied slugs before its first write. It rejects a slug that WordPress would change on save.
• Isolated previews block off-site stylesheets, fonts, images, and media. Same-site resources, data: images, and bounded inline styles remain available.
• Read-only global-style checks no longer create missing state. Initialize it manually in the WordPress editor when needed.
• When restoring new SQLite tables through the REST path, no nested transaction is opened. A foreign-key error detected during import leaves neither the new table nor its data or type metadata behind.

• OAuth sign-in is more robust. OAuth is the connection that links the software to your AI assistant without storing a WordPress password in its settings.
• Responses from supported plugins are checked more strictly. Unexpected or oversized data is rejected instead of being processed silently.
• Power supports the verified workflow with Code Snippets 3.10.1, including trash and restoration.

Safety boundaries

• Single-use Code Snippets remain unsupported.
• Power remains separate, off by default, and intended only for development or test sites.
• Existing boundaries for HTML, PHP, files, and database access remain unchanged.

• The paid version includes more clearly limited tools for content, design, and selected WordPress extensions. Free remains at 34 core tools without a licence key.
• The connection screen now guides new installations through the required setup step by step.
• Additional design and product-data functions work only within their individually verified limits.

• The included guides now explain current safety and plugin boundaries more clearly.
• The matching downloads are available in the Polar customer portal.

• A change still stops when the software cannot check it clearly and safely.
• Power remains a separate plugin that is off by default. You do not need it for ordinary WordPress work.
• The new functions still do not allow arbitrary HTML, CSS, PHP, or database changes.

Released

• This earlier release extended the clearly limited tools for content and selected extensions.
• Product data was aligned more closely with its WordPress extension. If a required condition disappears during a change, the software stops without saving anything.

What is not listed

Test versions and unpublished intermediate work do not belong in a changelog for users.
